There are many brands who advertise their toothpaste with the benefits of baking soda in it. But they all are not chemical-free. So simply prepare your one at home that is an effective and inexpensive one for you.

Baking Soda Toothpaste Recipe and Benefits

Things we will need:

  • Cold-pressed organic coconut oil 4 tablespoons
  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  • Xylitol 2 tablespoons
  • FOS Probiotics 2 capsules
  • Spore Based Probiotic 2 capsules
  • Cacao Powder 1/2 teaspoons
  • Ginger Powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Ginger Powder
  • Vitamin E Oil 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
  • Distilled water 4 tablespoons

Directions for Preparation:

Take a small saucepan, and heat coconut oil in it for about 1 – 2 minutes. Now add baking soda, bentonite clay, FOS, xylitol, cacao, probiotic, cinnamon, and ginger to a food processor and blend it for 13-15 seconds until all powders are evenly combined. Next, pour one tablespoon of coconut oil into the blender. Blend it for 12-15 seconds; the mixture will be crumbly. Now take a wooden spoon and run it along the inside edge of the blender, to make sure that all the powder is properly combined with the oil. Add remaining coconut oil and vitamin E in the blender and blend it for another 12- 15 seconds. Take care that the mixture must be in a smooth and creamy texture.

Slow down the speed of the blender and add water into it. Blend it for at least 30 seconds. Your homemade baking soda toothpaste is ready for you. Transfer it to a plastic lid or to a glass container. It will be better to store it into a nontoxic refillable squeeze tube.

How to Use and Storage Tips:

Simply dip a clean spoon into the toothpaste and apply it to the toothbrush. Store the half quantity of the toothpaste at room temperature and can use this homemade toothpaste within 8-10 days. Store the rest in the refrigerator for later use. It will be good to prepare half amount of the toothpaste at a time. Make it again when needed to use it with full freshness in it.
