Method 1: Pour 1 cup of vinegar down the drain followed by 1 cup of baking soda. As you pour these ingredients, there will be an audible reaction occurs. Vinegar is a mild acetic acid and baking soda is an alkaline.  When these two are mixed, they react somewhat dramatically to neutralize one another and that is the reason behind the sudden reaction. As the reaction occurs, just wait for at least 5 minutes before flushing the drain with hot water.

There will be nothing wrong to repeat this baking soda and vinegar process several times. You can easily use this home remedy to unclog the drain of the sinks.

Method 2: There is another best option to be used instead of pouring vinegar. Just try to pour1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of salt down the drain. Leave the mixture to sit in the drain for several hours, letting it overnight is best. Flushing the drain with boiling water will be necessary. This process will work better and in the best way if you do it right before bedtime since the drain won’t be used until morning.
